I am not an artist.
“Can you draw portraits of the speakers for speaker gifts,” my client asked me.
“No,” I said. “I’m not much of a portrait artist.”
As a graphic recorder, I am more of an idea wrangler, synthesizing real-time conversations into a visual representation. In fact, the end piece isn’t as important as the experience of attendees and participants watching the creation in real-time. It’s is more about the communication of concepts rather than the realism of the created image.
P.S. And as for speaker gifts, I usually doodle on top of photos of the speakers.
